Education

Alexandra focused her education on the visual arts. She expresses the feeling of being lucky enough to experience a very hands-on learning environment, allowing her many years of full expression and exploration. Being able to branch her visions into as many mediums as she could really helped keep a clear connection with inspiration.

Along the way, there have been specific people who showed Alexandra more than schooling could. A family that uses art just to have a space to let themselves feel, or that loves and expresses their faith through the art their hands can make. A teacher who never stopped their passion even when they were finished with the working world.  Seeing how art holds a space in the lives of people who were on different paths than herself.

Alexandra learned how art connects people. And was assured that this is the direction of her life.

Current Focus

Alexandra is currently in what she calls the working season of her life. Having had her time with expression, education, and play. Now she gets to begin the journey of being. Alexandra is in the phase of establishing her career, where all her artistic skills join together with everyday life.

As a Tattoo Artist, there are always more hours needed to hone skills. Alexandra pushes for a balance in her work of tattoos that radiate with her clients' dreams, and a very serious commitment to safety. Both in the physical health and the emotional well-being of those who sit in the chair.

The truest value in her work is how it affects the lives around her. Looking to give people a space that lets them see the beauty in life. How the world is filled with incredible creatures, both ourselves and the animals we share the planet with. The freedom to know that because we are alive, life is beautiful.

Avenues of Expression

Alexandra has explored many mediums through education and personal exploration. Each phase of life had its own brushes and canvases.

In the early years of her work, Alexandra mainly dove into the limitless expression of sketchbooks. Ones that could hold the watercolours and alcohol markers she was using. Occasionally, reaching for wood canvases to solder and create woodburnt art.

During the era of Alexandra's education, there was a huge transition to canvas work. With a strong focus on acrylics and chalk pastels. Leaving sketch books behind for more bold and committed works.

Now that there is open air and freedom to create, Alexandra revisits some mediums used during her education. Lino cut has been a newer area, allowing for traditional ink and paper. While also opening up fiber-based art, wearable, and personal. Sketchbooks are once again a busy place of planning and fun. While full canvases ease their way back into her work, watercolour illustrations hold a sweet place for polished creations.

End Thought

Though Alexandra's art is integrated into every part of herself and her life, the world of business is the new realm of education. Having the vision for so many outlets and expansions, Alexandra is thrilled for the journey ahead.

Blessed to have wonderful mentors and a community that inspires and motivates her. The path before her is as open as the ocean, and her will carries strong passion to where it is meant to be.

In these chapters to come, growth in her art and mediums of creation will unfold into new business and connections. Her art is always intented to give the light and love we all need. Life is already giving us everything; now we just have to see it, and know we can change our lives for the better.
